Super Visa
For Parents & Grand Parents of Canadian Citizen & PR of Canada.
The Parents and Grandparents Super Visa allows the parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to come to Canada as visitors for a period of up to two consecutive years at their initial visit without having to renew their status. The visa can remain valid for up to 10 years, allowing for re-entry during this period of time and will allow an applicant to remain in Canada for up to 24 months at a stretch. The Super Visa presents older generations of a family to visit loved ones in Canada for an extended period without work rights.
The child or grandchild who invites you must prove that their household meets the minimum necessary income. The following documents are examples of what can be used as proof of funds:
- Notice of Assessment (NOA) or T4/T1 for the most recent tax year
- Employment Insurance stubs
- employment letter including salary and date of hiring
- pay stubs
- bank statements
